OK1DFC – About me

  My name is Zdenek (Zdeno) SAMEK and I am born in 1958 year. I have two sons from my first married and two with my second wife. My sons are Zdenek and Jirka and you can see them on the OK1KIM pages as a SHF operators in contests under OL4A call. Honza and Libor are not interesting in this strange hobby :-)

 

1980 - mechanical engineer in TMS Pardubice

1980 - 1990 - mechanical engineer in Krušnohorské strojírny and VZMA Most

1990 up to 2000 I was working as a co-owner of TES Litvinov, later TES Media and today KARNEVAL Media, first private CATV system in OK. 

September 2000 up to April 2004 I was working for ALPHA Technologies

From 1st of May 2004 up to February 2013 I was working in CommScope International

From 1st of March 2013 I am working in PPC Denmark - BELDEN

  History of OK 1 DFC station

In beginning I had my first young license OL5ATU – since 1974 and first activity on 144 MHz and first QSO with OK1ATQ 24.12.1974

Adult license OK1DFC – since 15.th of May 1977 and in July 1977 I worked first Es QSO with GD4FWQ and others in UK

 

 

 

This is my first home made TRX CW/SSB for 144 MHz build in 1978 - PA GU29B - 70W out - SWR meter and Power supply

in this year first time used for M/S HSCW tests and QSOs.

1974 - 24.12. first CW 144 MHz QSO with OK1ATQ in Christmas contest as OL5ATU

1977 - 1st of May licensed as a OK1DFC

1977 - 7th of July worked first G, GW and GD via Es on 144 MHz

1978 - build first Home Made TRV SSB/CW 144 MHz

1981 - first M/S HSCW QSO . HM TRV and 75W GU29B PA 144 MHz

1982 - Member of contesting group OK5VHF - OK VHF club today

1985 - First testing 432 MHz and 1296 MHz

1989 Since OK-VHF Club – member of OK-VHF Club

1990 - First contacts with EME traffic on 144 MHz


1995  - Member of OK1OKL contest team, as a operator on 23cm done 330 QSOs on 1296 MHz
